ABOUT

Jordan Whitewood-Neal (he/him) is an architectural researcher, designer, and educator working at the intersections of architectural history, design pedagogy, and critical disability studies. Jordan’s teaching has centred around the Design Think Tank module at the London School of Architecture from 2022 to 2025, addressing disability in relation to retrofit, cultural infrastructure of the night, and the form and economics of housing. Jordan recently joined the PhD programme at the Bartlett School of Architecture where his research focuses on the relationship between disability, eugenics, utopia and citizenship in relation to spatial pedagogy.

 

He is currently the Guest Editor at The Avery Review, the Convenor of the Society The Society of Architectural Historians of Great Britain's Disability Network, and sits on the Advisory Boards of The DisOrdinary Architecture Project and Design Can. In 2022 he co-founded disability-led research collective Dis with James Zatka-Haas, exploring disability, crip storytelling, and the built environment. In 2026 he became a Mayors Design Advocate.​​
